Lillian Y. Pan, KC, is a Partner at Dentons, specializing in commercial litigation, including business, securities, product liability, energy, and employment litigation.
Anissa has been an avid volunteer in the Chinatown Community since 1990 and spends her time as a business merchant in Chinatown.
Professor Thomas Cheuk was appointed to the Premier’s Council on Multiculturalism and is a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal recipient. He is the founding president of the Alliance of Calgary Community Ethnic Support Society (ACCESS) and a co-chair of Diversecities.
Harry Yee has been a leader in the charitable sector for the past 30 years. He was the Executive Director/CEO for The Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth for 22 years and is currently the Chief Operating Officer with The Immigrant Education Society (TIES).
As one of the founders of the Calgary Chinatown Business Improvement Area (BIA) in 2015, and as a Board Director of the Calgary Chinese Merchant’s Association since 1992, Annette has a lot to contribute to the Chinatown BIA Board.
Sandy Kwong has over 17 years of experience working in the media industry and was the former General Manager of Sing Tao Newspapers Group Alberta. Her passion for the community has served her well in numerous volunteer roles in the Chinese community. Sandy has provided her expertise and knowledge to the BIA board since 2019.
Bill, a third-year nursing student at the University of Calgary, works in homelessness, addiction, and public safety sectors. Combining frontline experiences and academic studies, he co-founded RadiCalgary and RadiCare Ventures to prioritize dignity when providing basic needs and employment to vulnerable populations. As a Chinatown resident, Bill is passionate about creating a clean, safe, and vibrant Chinatown for the community.
Judy is an active member of the Calgary community and supporting the arts by volunteering and encouraging others to get involved. She is an advocate for entrepreneurship and business mixed with her passion for advancing opportunities for youth and Asian culture. As a fan of Chinatown this role is a perfect outlet for her passions.
Sukey is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Her role helps bridge business owners and the City of Calgary to voice their needs and concerns. You can find Sukey creating memorable moments in Chinatown with her family, passing on the culture and heritage to her two young children.
